Helping Families Who Have Experienced Cancer

About Us

In honor of our daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and  friend Annjenette Cole we are proud to be to say this is our 4th annual  JET packs!

Here’s the story behind her gift. Annjenette “Jet” was an active healthy 20 year old woman but on November 5, 2014 she was diagnosed with Hepatocellular Carcinoma or otherwise known as Liver Cancer. For the next 10 months Jet fought hard and lived her life to the fullest. She always had a passion for loving and taking  care of other people. One of the things she wanted to do before she passed was to feed the homeless. She put the word out, collected  donations and was able to pass out lunches just a couple weeks before she passed on September 10, 2015. She inspired us dearly and we want to continue her work.

God Bless,

The Cole Family

Letter to My Daughter

Letter to my daughter in heaven.

Annjenette passed away on September 10, 2015 at the age of 21 from Liver Cancer.

Dear Annjenette,

Two of the most profound life experiences for me were the day I adopted you and the day that you passed away as my daughter. When the Judge announced to the courtroom on June 6, 2009 that you and your 5 siblings would now have the last name of Cole, we were all beyond happy. I was proud to have you call me “Ma”! We made lots of memories that will forever be etched in my mind, heart and soul. When you were diagnosed at the age of 20 with Stage 4 Liver Cancer the fierce, strong, independent and determined young lady that you were was not going to go down without a fight. Fight is what you did! You gave it everything that you had for 10 months. In those ten months, you taught me more about life than most could think possible from such a young soul. You chose to fight for your life with such grace, strength and dignity all the while creating memories. It didn’t occur to me right away that the things on your bucket list that you chose, you chose them knowing that you wanted to do certain things with certain people to give them a personalized memory! You were SELFLESS ! Selfless every step of the way! You knew your time was short and you wanted to make the best memories for your loved ones, and you did it with that beautiful smile on your face. Thank you. I know you were worried about me but as you can see I’m learning learning how to live life without you. It’s seems almost impossible, unbearable most days but I don’t have a choice! I wish I did. I was told by a special person your "Pop-Pop" that when I am doing things that make me smile it will make you smile. So I’ve chosen to live my life like you.  I want to help families that are struggling with everything that cancer brings with it. Make the tears that I shed for you into tears of joy that I am making you smile by helping others. I started a foundation in your memory, The Annjenette Foundation. I received the news that it’s been approved as a non-profit 501(c)3! I want you to know that I will carry on your legacy with the help of all that love you. I can’t help but feel that on the 4th Anniversary of your death you gave another selfless act by this all happening so close to this date. I can’t help but smile.  Sweetheart, we will be celebrating your life today and every day with wonderful memories that are forever etched in our mind, heart and soul. I love you.
